As a Livestock dealer, we raise pigs in a deep litter system allowing our pigs to dig in a deep compost.
We offer pigs to farmers on Big Island, Hawaii, helping boost local pork production. Support local and grow your farm with our pigs!
When a Livestock Dealer picks up pigs from us it is exciting to see breeding pairs leave our home knowing that Big Island Hawaii continues to produce locally raised pork.
When pigs start nesting, they’re usually preparing for their little ones. You might notice them gathering bedding, digging around, or rearranging their space. It’s their way of creating a safe, cozy spot for their piglets. If you hear more grunting, it could be a sign they’re not entirely comfortable and might need a little extra bedding or a more peaceful environment.
We believe in providing exceptional customer service and support. From the moment you contact us until long after you purchase our pigs , we are here to help you every step of the way.
Special Note: Update on Our Vaccination Practices
Starting April 1st, 2025, we will no longer be routinely vaccinating our piglets with 3-flex. This vaccine was introduced in response to a specific request we received on July 18, 2023, from farmers who could only purchase piglets if they were vaccinated. Wanting to honor that relationship, we agreed to temporarily include the 3-flex vaccine.
However, our roots run deep in natural farming. Since officially starting our farm journey and legally selling piglets on November 17, 2017, we’ve always used natural methods to care for our animals—essential oils, clean environments, and a whole lot of love. This approach has served our pigs and our family well for many years.
So moving forward, piglets will only receive the 3-flex vaccine by special request, and an additional $5 fee per piglet will apply.
We remain deeply committed to raising animals with intention and integrity. Whether our pigs are vaccinated or raised using our trusted natural methods, they are always healthy, thriving, and well cared for.
Mahalo for supporting our farm and standing with us in the way we choose to raise our animals—with heart, honesty, and a whole lot of aloha.

Big Island Hog Farm Disclaimer
At Big Island Hog Farm, we put our hearts into raising strong, healthy, and well-loved piglets. Every one of them is raised with care, good nutrition, and lots of attention while they’re with us. Our goal is always to send them off happy, thriving, and ready to adjust well to their new homes.
Once they leave our farm, though, we can’t control what they’re exposed to — things like diet, environment, or stress can really impact a young piglet’s health. So we want to be upfront about how we handle things moving forward:
1. Health Guarantee
We guarantee that every piglet is healthy when they leave our farm. After pickup, we’re not able to offer refunds or replacements, simply because so much is out of our hands once they’re no longer in our care.
2. Vaccination and Care
We offer vaccinations by request only. If you’d like your piglet vaccinated, we’ll gladly take care of it using 3-Flex and Noromectin® (ivermectin) Injection for Cattle and Swine before pickup — just let us know ahead of time. Any changes to the schedule or additional care choices are up to the buyer.
3. Buyer Responsibility
We kindly ask that you look over your piglet at pickup and make sure they’ll be going home to a clean, safe space with proper food, fresh water, and gentle handling. At this age, it’s especially important that your piglet is kept in a warm, protected area to help prevent illness. They’re still so young and adjusting to a lot, and that extra warmth and comfort makes a big difference in keeping them strong and healthy.
We also recommend working with a local veterinarian to create a care plan that fits your specific setup and goals.
4. Ongoing Support
We’re happy to answer your questions and support you before and after your purchase. That said, once the sale is complete, buyers agree they’ve received a healthy animal and accept full responsibility for their ongoing care.
When you choose Big Island Hog Farm, you’re not just buying a piglet — you’re working with a farm that truly cares. We believe in being honest, kind, and raising our animals the right way. And we’re here to help you feel confident and supported as you welcome them into your life.
If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re always just a message away.
Aloha & Mahalo,
The Big Island Hog Farm ‘Ohana
