Rooted in Aloha ʻĀina
My husband and I built Big Island Hog Farm from the ground up — just the two of us, a dream, and a deep respect for our ʻāina. In Hawaiian culture, ʻāina means more than “land” — it’s a living relative, the source of life, and a trust we care for every day. We live aloha ʻāina by raising our pigs in harmony with the land, using natural feed, clean deep-litter bedding, and hands-on care from sunrise to sunset.
From Our ʻOhana to Yours
Our farm is more than a business — it’s our way of life. We believe in raising healthy, happy pigs without shortcuts, antibiotics, or growth hormones. Their diet includes locally sourced fruits, vegetables, and fermented feeds that nourish them while reducing waste in our community.
Sustainably Raised, Hawai‘i Proud
Every decision we make — from planting crops for feed to practicing mālama ʻāina (care for the land) — is done with the future in mind. Our pork is USDA-inspected, locally processed, and shared with pride. When it reaches your table, you can taste the difference that comes from respect, care, and connection.
Join Our ʻOhana
When you choose Big Island Hog Farm, you’re supporting more than just a meal — you’re helping sustain a way of farming that protects our ʻāina, honors Hawaiian values, and strengthens our island community.
